CapRock Appoints Britt Carina Horncastle as VP of Corporate Development

HOUSTON - May 30, 2006

CapRock Communications, a leading global satellite communications provider to remote locations, has appointed Britt Carina Horncastle as vice president of corporate development. Horncastle will be responsible for managing CapRock's long-term growth strategy, including expanding its presence in emerging regions and in new vertical markets through acquisitions, partnerships and strategic alliances, as well as establishing local regional offices and operations centers. The appointment of Horncastle highlights CapRock's commitment to providing customers with reliable enterprise-class communications, regardless of where their operations may take them.

As CapRock continues to deliver solutions to customers operating in new regions, it must determine the best approach to have the necessary service, support and infrastructure in place. "Britt's leadership skills and extensive experience in strategic planning and corporate development will be invaluable in driving CapRock's methods for supporting emerging regions," said CapRock CEO Peter Shaper.

CapRock has leveraged multiple approaches in the past to enter new regions, including acquiring Telematika Java Duta to provide coverage in Asia Pacific, opening a regional operations center in Angola to provide service support off the west coast of Africa and forming a partnership with a local provider in Mexico to offer coverage throughout the region. "Our expertise has always been in providing customers with a single source for remote satellite communications anywhere on the globe," Shaper said. "Whether on an industrial vessel traversing the open ocean or an offshore oil rig drilling in new territory, customers can depend on CapRock to answer their call for communications."

Horncastle joins CapRock with nearly thirty years of experience managing developing businesses for global companies, including extensive international experience in emerging countries. Prior to joining CapRock, she served nearly ten years as part of the executive team of Telenor Satellite Services (TSS), a Norwegian company focused on providing mobile and fixed satellite communications. Her positions included chief financial officer of Telenor Satellite Services AS, and most recently, chief executive officer of Telenor Satellite Services U.S. While at TSS, Horncastle was instrumental in closing multiple acquisitions and forming strategic partnerships.

"Driven by customers' expanding and increasingly complex requirements in remote operations in numerous vertical markets, coupled with continuous, rapidly emerging technological improvements, the industry will see dramatic changes in applications and value-added services over the next few years," Horncastle said. "Dedication and focus on providing reliable satellite communications solutions, combined with strong relationships with innovative service partners, have given CapRock the reputation for being on the forefront of delivering customers with the latest technologies and applications. I am very excited to join CapRock and lead the development of the company's strategic initiatives."

Horncastle was recently awarded an international leadership award in the state of Maryland and has served on the board of directors for multiple organizations in the industry, including Inmarsat Ventures Plc., Global Relief Technologies and several subsidiaries of the Telenor Satellite Services Group. She played an active role in the privatization of the three former intergovernmental satellite organizations and was appointed by the Board of Governors of Intelsat to chair one of the working groups established to drive the transition from an intergovernmental organization to a private company.

"Britt is recognized as a true leader who has been part of shaping the development of the satellite industry," said Errol Olivier, CapRock President and COO. "With her background and unmatched qualifications, she will be a tremendous addition in supporting CapRock's long-term global expansion strategy. We are delighted to have Britt Carina on board and welcome her to the CapRock team."
