Alan Aronowitz Selected as Vice President and General Counsel for CapRock Communications

HOUSTON - October 31, 2006

CapRock Communications, a premier global satellite communications provider to remote locations, has appointed Alan Aronowitz as vice president and general counsel. In this role, Aronowitz will serve as the company's chief legal officer responsible for all legal and compliance matters involving the company and its subsidiaries.

Within the past few years, CapRock has experienced unprecedented global expansion by completing acquisitions, forming business alliances and increasing its international support centers. Each of these initiatives supports CapRock's commitment to provide customers with uncompromising communications as their operations continue to take them into isolated and remote regions. As CapRock further develops its presence and capabilities in such regions, it is vital to have the expertise to understand the regulatory and legal environments unique to each country. Aronowitz will leverage his extensive international legal and regulatory experience to enable CapRock to successfully enter new markets and deliver customers with the same reliable communications that they have come to expect from CapRock.

Prior to joining CapRock, Aronowitz most recently served as vice president and general counsel of a global business unit of a multinational diversified energy services company, where he was responsible for all legal initiatives with particular emphasis on international, corporate and commercial transactions, including the expansion into various regions of the world. Additionally, Aronowitz has served as the assistant city attorney in Houston, Texas, and as an attorney for Locke Liddell Sapp LLP, where he specialized in corporate, real estate, banking and commercial finance transactions. Also, he serves on the board of directors of the Houston Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel, the preeminent in-house counsel organization.
