Top Awardees of GSA SATCOM-II Contract

$110 Million Contract Positions Arrowhead in Top 10 of Award Recipients

HOUSTON - May 9, 2007

Arrowhead Global Solutions Inc., a subsidiary of CapRock Communications, today announced that the General Services Administration has awarded the company a major portion of the SATCOM-II contract. The value of the Arrowhead contract, at $110 million, places it in the top 10 of 24 companies that received the award.

The SATCOM-II award provides Arrowhead a contract to market to all federal agencies a broad range of satellite services, including fixed and mobile satellite transport services, applications, engineering and operational maintenance support. The agreement is structured to let agencies work directly with Arrowhead on orders and billing. It also provides the ability to add new technologies to the contract as they become available. The five-year, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract is valued -- for all of the contractors — at $750 million and replaces the existing GSA Satellite Services program.

The SATCOM-II system will enable federal employees to use hand-held receivers and have access to broadband computer networks anywhere in the world. It is designed for use in areas where no landlines are available and will provide a higher level of communications for government fire fighters, border patrols and rescue personnel, particularly those in disaster regions.
