CapRock Communications, a premier global satellite communications provider, has named Tom Eaton – a technology industry veteran – president of Arrowhead Global Solutions. Arrowhead, based in Fairfax, VA, is a newly acquired division of CapRock Communications and is a leading provider of technology services to the U.S. government.
“This is a very exciting time to join CapRock, especially given the company’s emphasis on expanding its presence and portfolio in the government sector,” said Eaton. “I fully intend to build on the reputation for delivering high quality and creative technology solutions that Arrowhead has earned in serving government agencies and government contractors since Mary Ann Elliott founded the company nearly two decades ago.” Elliott is the former CEO of Arrowhead Global Solutions.
CapRock CEO Peter Shaper said, “Tom’s extensive background in the technology industry and proven leadership skills are a tremendous addition to the CapRock team. CapRock’s business in the government market is expanding, and I believe the addition of Tom will further position us to meet the demands of this important and growing customer base.”
Before joining CapRock, Eaton served as president of G2 Satellite Solutions, PanAmSat’s wholly-owned subsidiary dedicated to developing satellite-based communication solutions for the government market. Eaton joined PanAmSat in 2000 as executive vice president of global sales. In 2001, his role was expanded to include the company’s marketing and, in 2003, he was tapped to create and lead G2. Prior to PanAmSat, Eaton served as vice president of Intelsat’s global sales and customer support. Eaton was also co-founder and vice president of sales and marketing for Integrated Network Services, Inc., and director of marketing for Sprint Communication Corp.’s Video Services Division.
Eaton holds a master’s in business administration from Mercer University and a bachelor’s of business administration from the University of Georgia.
