Condux Awards Multi-year Agreement to CapRock

Offshore construction services company signs up for VSAT communications

HOUSTON, TEXAS and CIUDAD DEL CARMEN, MEXICO - Sept. 9, 2008

CapRock Communications, a global provider of satellite communications to remote and harsh environments, today announced a three-year agreement with Condux S.A. de C.V. to deliver VSAT communication services onboard its fleet of construction vessels . Condux, a leading offshore construction services company and subsidiary of Mexican-based Grupo Protexa, has chosen CapRock's services to provide its clients with reliable communications to support daily offshore operations.

Condux specializes in a variety of offshore services, such as the installation, maintenance, restoration and modernization of platform facilities and the construction of underwater piping. With a proven track record that includes installations on more than 95 percent of the fixed platforms located in the Bay of Campeche and completion of construction projects on almost half of the underwater piping infrastructure, Condux attributes its success to exceeding the expectations of its customers.

CapRock will deploy a seamless turnkey solution that includes equipment, service, maintenance and support for a fixed monthly price. The solution represents Condux' initial adoption of an always-on communication service.

Under the terms of the agreement, CapRock will supply the construction vessels located in the Bay of Campeche with IP-based voice and data services, enabling onboard personnel to transmit daily reports and communicate with the corporate office as needed. Additionally, Condux will leverage CapRock's Out of Band Management (OBM) tool, which enables remote diagnostics as a first attempt for service restoration in the event of an outage. CapRock's Mexico office, located in Ciudad del Carmen, will provide field support with local field engineers and locally warehoused spare parts.
