Arrowhead Global Solutions Changes Name
to CapRock Government Solutions

Rebrand Represents a Global Company Dedicated to Solving
a Broader Spectrum of Demanding Communication Challenges

FAIRFAX, VA and HOUSTON, TX- April 21, 2009

CapRock Communications, a global provider of satellite communications to remote and harsh environments, announced today that the company has changed the name of its federal government division, Arrowhead Global Solutions, to CapRock Government Solutions.

Arrowhead was acquired by CapRock Communications in 2007. The name change marks a significant point in the final assimilation and integration of the federal government-focused division into the CapRock corporate structure.  Over the past two years, Arrowhead evolved significantly from its entrepreneurial roots, forming a new management team, implementing a visionary long-term strategic plan, and launching a comprehensive value-add product and service portfolio.  This evolution manifested in consistent double-digit annual growth and the elevation of CapRock Government Solutions into the industry leader in commercial X-band satellite services to the U.S. government.

CapRock’s clients benefit from unmatched quality in products and services. Its offerings are built on a strong global presence, industry leading systems engineering capabilities, and nearly 30 years of experience delivering mission-critical communications.  By fully integrating Arrowhead Global Solutions as a business unit of CapRock Communications, customers in the defense, intelligence, and civilian government communities can take full advantage of the company’s rich portfolio of capabilities.  CapRock’s assets include more than 650 employees around the globe, a self-owned and operated infrastructure with four international teleports, four 24x7 Network Operation Centers (NOC’s), and eleven regional support centers.  CapRock has served clients with operations in over 90 countries and across all the world’s oceans.

“CapRock has a strong track record in providing customers in the government, energy and maritime sectors with reliable, turnkey managed solutions,” said CapRock CEO Peter Shaper. “Further integrating CapRock’s government team is a natural progression as our government clients take advantage of a single source for their managed communication services, systems integration requirements and technical support needs”.

CapRock Government Solutions specializes in delivering end-to-end SATCOM and integrated network solutions for a wide variety of contract vehicles and programs for DISA, the DoD, intelligence community, and various federal civilian agencies.  Recently CapRock Government Solutions unveiled the industry’s first commercial X-band managed service offering. Since that announcement, CapRock has been awarded two multimillion dollar contracts to provide over 200 MHz of commercial X-band services to two U.S. Government agencies.

“While we now have a new name, our commitment to our customers and partners has never been stronger,” said Tom Eaton, President of CapRock Government Solutions.  “We look forward to bringing even more of CapRock’s capabilities to our clients, while continuing to dedicate our team efforts to serving the specific needs of government operations, first responders and warfighters.  We are excited by the clarity that the new name brings to who CapRock is: one global company dedicated to solving the unique, mission-critical communications challenges of the world’s most demanding clients.”
