Brooke Irish

On Sunday mornings, you can usually find me relaxing on my couch or patio, catching up on the articles and blogs I’ve earmarked throughout the week. I only drink coffee on the weekend, so sipping a great cup of brew, reading, writing and hanging out with my two kids – in my personal heaven is my Sunday morning.

My father has made me laugh my whole life. As a young kid, he used to take me to work with him every Saturday so I could earn spending money by cleaning his very industrial, greasy, dirty scrap-yard office. Because of this, I could witness his uncanny ability to make almost any difficult or troubling task humorous and fun. Most of his employees would rather tackle an ugly project with him than take on a less daunting project on their own. This experience taught me many things, including the immense value of simply maintaining a positive attitude and the respect earned by a leader willing to roll up their sleeves and get in the trenches alongside you.

My personal motto is that the time will pass regardless. I often hear people rejecting a goal or commitment because of the length of time it will take to achieve it. You can work toward accomplishing a goal or sitting on the sidelines; time will pass regardless. Don’t let a long timeline detour you from realizing your desires.

Three words to describe me are a little bit sassy, genuinely kind, and relentlessly thorough.

I’m drawn to the family wealth management business because it is an arena of continual growth and change. I believe the power of business can do great things in the world. Capital can be used to promote and support causes that align with one’s values while still maximizing investor return. One of our clients recently described their fondness for working with Caprock because they felt it was a place where money, meaning, and mission intersect. I couldn’t agree more.

Prior to joining Caprock as a portfolio data analyst and trader, Brooke was administrative operations manager for a private fitness studio. Before that, she was a workers’ compensation insurance claims examiner for several years. Brooke brings a great deal of investment industry experience to Caprock from her prior work as an equity research and operations analyst with a Boise-based investment firm.

Brooke graduated from Boise State University with a BA in Finance. She thoroughly enjoys the work-life balance that living in the Boise area offers: Nordic skiing, trail hiking, camping, fishing and casual cycling adventures on the Greenbelt.
